DUNGANNON golfer Darren Clarke has continued his rise back up the world rankings with a good showing at the Avantha Masters in India.

Clarke is now ranked 75 in the world after he finished tied for eighth at the DLF Golf and Country Club in New Delhi. He put together rounds of 71, 66, 70 and 71 to finish on a four round total of 278, ten under par. Clarke, who eagled the 18th hole on the final day also moves to 12th in the European Tour Race to Dubai.

Australia's Andrew Dodt won the tournament finishing on fourteen under par, just one shot ahead of England's Richard Finch.

Darren now takes some time off before playing the Maybank Malaysian Masters which begins on 4th March.
