Dungannon Traders Praised At Tyrone Courier Window Dressing Competition Awards

Traders and businesspeople in Dungannon have been praised for their hardworking endeavours in the busy run-up to Christmas 2009 to make the town welcoming and attractive for local shoppers and visitors.

At a prize presentation to mark the Tyrone Courier's Window Dressing competition, held in Viscounts Restaurant, Dungannon, the town was praised for its efforts over the festive season.

Present for the sumptuous Awards Breakfast were the Mayor of Dungannon Cllr Robert Mulligan, Mr Paul McCreedy, Town Development Manager and traders and businesspeople from the town, along with representatives from the Tyrone Courier.

Tyrone Courier Editor Ian Greer welcomed all present and said the popular competition was now in its 18th year.

The Mayor of Dungannon, Cllr Robert Mulligan, said the competition recognised the endeavours of many in Dungannon to make the town a good shopping town and he said the council and traders were committed to promoting the town.
The Mayor also congratulated the Tyrone Courier on its 18th year of the competition. The Courier Editor, Ian Greer, extended thanks to those attending the Awards Breakfast and also thanked all the shops and businesses in Dungannon for taking part in the competition.

The competition was judged by an independent panel of judges. Special thanks also goes to the Viscounts Restaurant for the use of the venue and for the delicious breakfast.

The award winners were as follows:

1st - Pinnacle, Scotch Street, Dungannon
2nd - Digg, Irish Street, Dungannon
3rd - Benjamin's, Scotch Street, Dungannon

Menary's - Market Square, Dungannon
