St Patrick’s College Dungannon students excel in A level exams26/08/2008
As the college ushers in a new era with the opening of the new school building on the Killymeal Road, the year 13 and 14 students have followed a proud tradition from amalgamation in 1998 and excelled in their A Level results. From 1998 the results have been excellent and the grades have continued to rise in Key Stage 3, GCSE, and AS and A Level. These results reflect the continued effort of the students, their Parents and the dedication efforts and professionalism of the teaching staff. The whole St Patrick's College community are very much a team and work together to support out young people through their education with the aim of helping the students to fulfil their potential. Mrs Rosina O'Neill, Principal, was delighted with another outstanding performance by the Sixth Form students, well above the national average. "It was very pleasing to see the students excel both in academic and vocational subjects, all the hard work, determination, and commitment paid off and I would like to congratulate all students, parents and teachers on their hard work." This year's results led to 95% of the year 14 students continuing on to third level education. The year 12 AS results again were excellent and have placed the students in a strong position to progress to third level education next year.
