A presentation was given to Dungannon and South Tyrone Borough Council by representatives from NIGLA regarding the new 11 Council model.

They presented a draft framework of work between NILGA and constituent councils and responded to queries from councillors.

Ms Killoran and Councillor Peake attended the meeting and used a presentation using objectives, progress and protocols of the new models.

Representatives said that NILGA had no meaningful input in relation to the announcement made for an 11 Council model, as this was a political decision.

The critical issue for Councils was the transfer of functions adding 'the devolution of powers should be all about what is best for the citizens.'
