1608 Royal School Exhibition
03/10/2008 - 07/11/2008
Friday 03 October 08 - Friday 07 November 2008 Ranfurly House, Market Square, Dungannon In 1608 James 1 ordered "free schools" to be set up in each of the planted counties of Ulster. Four hundred years on those five schools, from both sides of the border, have come together to commemorate their shared heritage. Dungannon Royal will mount an exhibition to illustrate its own story of good times and bad, of turbulent early years, of sporting triumphs and famous old boys, of academic successes and unforgettable characters: above all of a school which has survived and prospered for four centuries here in the heart of Ulster.
